Volunteer with Us

We especially need volunteers to help on the weekends to take care of our dogs before they are adopted.

What Do Volunteers Do? 

Volunteer shifts include feeding, walking and playing with the dogs, as well as observing health and behavioral issues and keeping a log of each dog's daily experience. 

We have 3 shifts a day on the weekends and each shift lasts 1-2 hours. We use an online sign-up so it's easy to sign up for shifts. 

We also have opportunities for intake on the nights that the dogs arrive, and opportunities to help with the adoption meetings.

Moving forward we will also need volunteers to help write for the Rescue Faerie website. 

What Happens When I Become a Volunteer? 

Rescue Faerie volunteers go through a thorough orientation process, and receive plenty of support while they get acclimated. 

Volunteering with Rescue Faerie is very rewarding. You will really feel like you are making a difference for the animals. 

Since we find a good home for every pet we sponsor, you don't ever need to be concerned about a dog's welfare or whether his or her time is up. 

Because this volunteering job comes with the responsibility to care for our pets, we expect our volunteers to be kind, careful, attentive and autonomous.
